Post Malone lidera con 16, las nominaciones a los Billboard Music Awards
Post Malone (sus discos) lidera las nominaciones a los Billboard Music Awards (sus discos) con 16. Según anunció hoy la revista, el rapero lidera con nominaciones en 15 categorías diferentes. Le siguen Lil Nas X (sus discos) con 13, y Billie Eilish (sus discos) y Khalid con 12.
Los premios ya están seleccionados por adelantado, es decir Billboard premia sobre la performance en sus listas, del 23 de marzo de 2019 al 14 de marzo de 2020. Ese periodo cubre, aunque hay tres categorías que el fan puede votar, el Billboard Chart Achievement, el Artista social y la colaboración del año. En el resto, tu performance en listas es la que te da o no el premio, no hay una Academia detrás.
Esa es una de las razones por las que muchos no terminan de entender el por qué los premios tienen ciertas nominaciones. La otra razón, es que estas nominaciones llegan con 6 meses de retraso, estaba previsto anunciarlas a finales de marzo con la ceremonia el 29 de abril, pero fue suspendida por la pandemia. Por eso muchos fans se preguntan la razón de que haya temas con bastante más de 1 año.
La nueva fecha será el 14 de octubre en el Dobly Theatre de Los Ángeles, queda por ver si será virtual, con actuaciones diseminadas tipo MTV, o con alguna presencia en el escenario. Kelly Clarkson será la maestra de ceremonias.
