Grandes artistas han mostrado sus condolencias por el fallecimiento ayer sábado de Chuck Berry, uno de los pioneros del rock, un artista que ayudó como pocos a definir una era crucial en el desarrollo del género, con canciones históricas como Maybellene, Roll Over Beethoven o Johnny B. Goode, por citar solo algunas de ellas.
Desde bandas como los Rolling Stones, en la que todos sus miembros lo han hecho, con Mick Jagger a la cabeza, pasando por Bruce Springsteen, que estuvo con él en la ceremonia de ingreso del Hall of Fame, Rod Stewart, Keith Urban, Bruno Mars, Queen con Brian May, Tom Petty, Ringo Starr, o incluso en España, artistas como Nacha Pop y Leiva. Todos ellos han destacado, la tremenda influencia que tuvo Chuck Berry.
