Se ha celebrado la 25ª edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards, los premios que se celebran como siempre en el Barker Hangar en el aeropuerto de Santa Monica y presentados por el actor Taye Diggs.
La triunfadora de la noche en unos premios que premian al cine, y la televisión, fue Once Upon a Time In Hollywood con 4 premios. Sam Mendes por 1917 volvió a ser el mejor director aunque en este caso compartido con Bong Joon-ho por Parasite. Joaquin Phoenix por Joker y Renée Zellwger por Judy, siguieron con su favoritismo de cara a los Oscar, con sus triunfos dentro de la categoría de mejor actor y actriz respectivamente.
