Phil Collins publicará el 28 de septiembre una caja de 4 CDs llamada Plays well with others. Son 59 canciones con parte de las extensas colaboraciones de Phil Collins a lo largo de más de cuatro décadas de carrera, donde se intercalan sus propios discos con Genesis, y en solitario, como muchos de los artistas a los que produjo y con los que colaboró, como John Martyn, Frida, Philip Bailey, The Four Tops, Stephen Bishop, Eric Clapton o Howard Jones.
Las canciones elegidas son en las que el trabajo de la batería es más potente y reconocible, aunque también notamos ausencias claras como el espectacular solo de Bad love junto a Eric Clapton o No self control con Peter Gabriel. Pero también hay otras agradables joyas como el Do nothin’ till you hear from me junto a Quincy Jones o la estremecedora versión de Why can’t wait ‘til morning? junto a Fourplay.
El cuarto disco es en directo con joyas como la versión de In the air tonight en el concierto de Secret Policeman, el tratamiento en el You win again junto a Bee Gees en el Prince’s trust concert del 88, repitiendo el binomio del concierto de Mandela, o el Layla junto a Eric Clapton en el Party at The Palace de 2002. Sumamente recomendable.
