El 11 de noviembre, Garth Brooks lanzará una enorme caja, de nuevo con Target, que incluye 10 discos nada más y nada menos. Se llama The Ultimate Collection y será parecida a la que ya publicó hace algunos años Blame it all on my roots y que fue un enorme éxito.
En esta ocasión vuelve a clasificar las canciones, nombrando cada CD, la mayoría de ellas conocidas, e incluye temas nuevos y además incluirá su nuevo trabajo, que se publica de manera oficial el 25 noviembre, Gunslinger. La caja se publica dos semanas antes, al precio de 29.20 en la web de Target, un precio enormemente atractivo. Quienes hagan pre order ya recibirán el disco navideño de Garth Brooks con Trisah Yearwood, y que también se publicará en solitario el mismo día.
Dentro de los temas nuevos, destaca una versión de un tema de Randy Travis, 1982 y la versión final con un montón de artistas, de Friend in low places, que estuvo parada durante un año, por problemas editoriales. Es decir, hay 7 CDs de estudio, 2 en directo y Gunslinger. Si se descuenta el precio que costaría solo Gunslinger, ya merecería la pena.
Además el nuevo disco en exclusiva en Target, es donde está la esperada versión de Friends in low places con George Strait, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban y Florida Georgia Line. La nueva versión no aparecerá en ningún otro sitio, por lo que aunque sea solo por eso merecerá la pena. Porque aunque Garth Brooks ha cerrado un acuerdo con Amazon, para lanzar su catálogo en streaming, no está claro que el cantante termine publicando todos sus discos en streaming, y menos algunas canciones.
