Se ha celebrado la 25 edición de los premios de cine de la MTV, los MTV Movie Awards, en los estudios Warner Bros. en Burbank. Los presentadores fueron Dwayne Johnson y Kevin Hart, como es habitual también los premios de la música, se retransmitirán hoy domingo además, a través de BET, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, TV Land, VH1 y VH1 Classic.
Además de los premios, este año se entregaba el premio especial MTV Generation, que recayó en Will Smith, Otro premio especial recayó en Melissa McCarthy, el Comedic Genius Award.
En lo que se refiere a los premios, Star Wars ganó por delante de los Vengadores, Jurassic World y sobre todo Deadpool, el premio a la mejor película. Y se llevó además otros dos premios, en total 3, en una noche en la que todo estuvo muy repartido.
